Over recent months, the Roger Rasheed Sports Foundation has been consulting with the Rajah Street community and working in partnership with the City Of Marion Council to develop a plan to revitalise the Community Reserve.
Once a vibrant hub for local children and the community, the Reserve has seen better days. We believe the children of the area deserve better.
Our primary aim is to being sport back to the centre of this community – specifically to give the children of the area access to sport, to proper facilities, to on-going training programmes and to mentoring from elite athletes.
The plans you see here are conceptual. There is still more consulation with the community and the council to be undertaken. However, you can clearly see our plan for revitalizing the Reserve – and for once again making it the hub for the children of the community and nearby areas.
